Is this a good picture? No.

Is this a good product? YES.

WayFare “We Can’t Say It’s Cheese” Hickory Cheddar flavor.

Oh my goodness.

It’s a delicious vegan cheese spread.

I had been hunting for it in NYC forever and had yet to find it (although quite a few stores sell WayFare products)after seeing this recipe from wonderful blog Fork + Beans and was dying to try it. Finally, I found it in Albany at Honest Weight and MMMMMM. So tasty.

Go buy it and eat it.

My favourite place to go in my hometown (Albany, NY) is the Honest Weight Food Co-Op - I’m not going to lie, it kicks the co-ops in NYC (that I can actually go to, meaning excluding the infamous Park Slope food co-op - aka the Flatbush + East Village - the thing I think I miss most about my ex was his hood of Flatbush, it’s not a bad co-op + there’s other cool stuff by the Courtelyou B/Q stop too) asses! I’m stoked to go upstate this weekend and stock up on some grains and vitamins and everything else. Going there always makes me feel really calm, too. A nice thought - when my mother was in the hospital, I used to go home 3-4 days out of the week (I skipped school for over a week when she first had surgery) and I’d always walk up to the co-op, a great 25 minute walk from my house, and get yellow/orange tomatoes - it’s weird how the little things keep you going.

I read an article on Jezebel about the myth of cruelty-free cosmetics - which you can read clicking here - and I don’t use any of the brands mentioned (Mary Kay, Avon etc) - but still - what is the point of animal testing? Rats don’t wear lipstick, other mammals don’t have the same make-up - I don’t think just because something is tested on animals that it’s appropriate for human use. It’s a stupid industry and it needs to stop.

For make-up, by the by, I usually use Urban Decay. They’re a pretty safe bet and lots of their products are vegan. Pricey, but beautiful colours - totally worth it.

Amazing orange tomatoes from Honest Weight Co-Op in Albany and chickpeas marinated in olive oil with spices from my grandma. Such a yummy snack. I’m obsessed with orange tomatoes.
